I've given a lot of thought to how I can best recommend Cooper in a manner that truly represents how I feel about him.

I feel the best way is to just to tell our story....

Cooper and I first started working together on Zuora's Partner team in 2020. I had recently joined the team, and he was supporting the team from a Partner Marketing perspective initially. I remember Cooper used to come on the call and give monthly updates on Partner Marketing, and to be honest it was a different language to me (I later realized that was solely due to my incompetence with this topic at the time!).

Soon after joining the team, Cooper became a peer of mine as a Regional Alliance Manager. That first year, we were each feeling each other out, but I could tell this was an extremely intelligent (both IQ+EQ) person from day one; perhaps subconsciously I saw it as competition.

The second year of the partner program I was fortunate enough to lead the team, and this is when I really got close to the greatness that is Cooper freaking Krings.

This guy came into a RAM role and SMASHED his numbers. I was constantly astonished at how many things he seemed to be covering at once: coffee with a partner here, backchanneling info from partners there, supporting deal execution and building relationships with the field, supporting me with building out the operational side of our partner program. Watching him in action resulted in what I believe was mutual respect and also a sincere friendship that originated from that mutual respect; observing him be the TOP performing RAM in his first year in the role, and more importantly how he did it, told me this guy is cut from the same cloth as me.

In 2022, I promoted Cooper to run the RAM team for me as we created more specialized functions in Alliances. From day 1, I could literally close my eyes in regards to that part of the business because I had FULL and implicit trust in Cooper; I knew he could call me if he needed me. I never, ever worried this guy wasn't on top of a detail or wasn't working his hardest.

Anyone who knows me knows how big of a Kobe Bryant fan and how much inspiration I draw from Kobe; perhaps the best compliment I can pay Cooper is that the guy embodies everything that is the MAMBA MENTALITY.

It's very simple; put me in a tough situation for survival, this is one of the guys I pick on my squad. That's how much blind trust I have in him, and he has earned and deserved every bit of it!
